I find it amazing that year after year, São Paulo, Brazil has had pride parade with over a million people. It even was shown on sense 8 and yet this podcast made no mention of it

Agree. 💯 The LGB has earned respect by defending truth and willingness to conform. Science has allowed us the benefit of the doubt that indeed we were born this way. Homosexuality is not a choice. And gays lived like normal men. Lesbians lived as women. The fourth one however... cringe! Mere self-perception is not gender.

I'm 55, I was forced out at the age of 14. Yeah, that was not fun In small town redneck Trump country. Luckily for the most part, my family was great. F the bullies and bigots.

Notice how most of them avoid to say “im gay” or “im lesbian”. I know bisexuality exists but it’s impossible that no one is these days… they’re just trying it.

Y’all are hating and for what? Calling them nobodies just because you’ve never heard of them. Reneé Rap is an absolute icon who has been playing Regina George on Broadway and in the reboot and Jessica Gunning starred in one of Netflix’s biggest shows this year for some examples.
Those people are most probably either old or don't follow pop culture.

I don't think I've ever been "in", really. I first came out exactly 25 years ago to a friend in school, who says he didn't out me, though it didn't take long to get around. Lol. And then, two months ago I came out to my boss I've known for 15 years who said he had absolutely no idea, despite him working closely with people who absolutely knew. 😂 Happy Prode month everyone. 🏳️🌈

I still wouldn't have come out. My parents and grandparents were very strait-laced and religious. My dad used various insults to describe gay men. Having said that, in his older years, I bought him a book, a crime novel for his birthday. He remarked that there were gay men amongst the characters. I didn't know. I now wonder whether he thought I was hinting about my sexuality. He didn't seem bothered, but I was oblivious to the content of the book, it was by an author I thought he liked

He’s a former Olympian. He was also born in Zimbabwe. He was raised partially in the US and went to Kentucky for college. He now lives in South Africa with his boyfriend, pretty much the only country in Africa with LGBTQ+ rights.

I also came out to my family at 27, the point I didn’t care who knew after that. Later I found that was the median age for people to come out. I think that number may have come down thought.
Although my family had an idea...I came out when I was 27 when dating my first ex. It's been over 35 years ago and love my life now...always living my authentic life❤❤ Happy Pride!

I wish I was able to come out earlier than I did however it wouldn't have ended well back then. I came out to my family at the age of 32. Came out to myself at 27.
Oh, those were the days! I'm 63..i came out to my family when I was 22. It only gets better guys.
Wow, good for you for being so brave! I’m very close to your age and I didn’t come out to my family until like 1998 or 1999. I had been openly gay in my friends circle since college, but I didn’t come out to my (ultra-religious) family until I brought home my first really serious boyfriend. It ended up being a non-issue and I wish I had come out years earlier.
I’m 54 and I’ll NEVER do that. Ain’t nothing better about it.

Sebastian sounds like it's going to be quite dark considering the themes. Awesome! Femme is an absolute MUST-SEE!! And my fave film of the year so far has to be "All Of Us Strangers"... had me in tears at the end! Fantastic casting and was gutted it kept losing out to Oppenheimer at this years BAFTAS
